KARLA GERRARD

After growing up in Alice Springs N.T. Karla moved to Queensland living in Hervey Bay before moving to Bundaberg in 2008 to work for Shorten Parcell McGregor.

“I love Bundy, the country feel, the community spirit, the way everyone bands together during tough times. Whether it is flooding, droughts or Covid there are so many obstacles these days, local businesses need all the support they can get.”

Karla is passionate about spending time with her family and is an avid supporter of the local footy club, South Kolan Rugby League Club and Coral Coast Self Defence & Taekwon-Do.

Judy came to Bundaberg in 2007, previously residing in Roma working for a local accounting firm specialising in primary production and small businesses. She joined Shorten Parcell McGregor in June 2007 and has been an employee since that time.

Judy obtained her Bachelor of Business majoring in accounting through USQ in Toowoomba whilst working full time. She has been a member of the Institute of Certified Practicing Accountants for 30 years.

Since her time with Shorten Parcel McGregor Judy has specialised mainly in taxation and self-managed super funds and is a valued employee.

rob lundie

Rob is the true ANZAC. He spent in excess of 20 years working in the finance and tax industry in New Zealand, including 13 years at the NZ tax office, 3 years at NZ Guardian Trust and 4 years at CA firms, before moving to the warmer climates of Townsville. Rob worked for two accounting practices in Townsville before being appointed to the role of Accountant at Shorten Parcell and McGregor in 2011.

“My interests outside of work include cycling, cycling and cycling… a true obsessive-compulsive disorder. I can often be spotted riding the roads of Bundaberg during the week between 4.15 am and 6.30 am, I also venture out on the weekends, but usually much later in the day.”

Rob also enjoys making his own beer and like most blokes watching almost any sport. He is married with two daughters and one dog.

AMANDA WOLFF

Amanda loves working with numbers and people.  She grew up near Gin Gin on a cane and cattle farm and started her bookkeeping career in Emerald in 1998. 

After returning to Bundaberg in 2014 she worked as a bookkeeper helping clients with BAS lodgements, payroll, Xero, MYOB setups and any messy situations.  She loves to help and can’t resist a challenge!  She completed her Bachelor of Business (Accounting) with distinction in 2020, commenced CPA studies and dived into taxation and financial reporting with Shorten Parcell McGregor in 2021. 

She has two adult daughters, an organic garden that is mostly weeds and a café / retail operation that she co-manages in her spare time.  

nola huie

Having raised a family, Nola re-joined the workforce as a junior trainee on 30 August 2002 at age 45. After completing her traineeship, she progressed on to achieve Administration Officer Level 2.

"My interaction with our clients is one of the most enjoyable aspects of my role at our firm. It is my goal to be able to maintain a professional manner as well as a bright smile on my face when greeting each client."

Although Nola has many hobbies, including collecting stamps and researching family history, gardening and spending time with her family are most precious to her.
